Aberystwyth swoop for Bako and Ahmed

During the closing moments of the 2020 Summer Transfer Window top tier JD Cymru Premier League club Aberystwyth Town added to the capture of Matias Etchegoyen pulling off a major coup signing 2 exciting young attacking players – Shama Bako a 20 year old striker who has already been called up for U23 international selection for his native Zimbabwe and joins the club having gained first team experience most recently with 1.FC Phönix Lübeck in Germany after completing his scholarship at Northampton Town and prior to that spent ten enjoyable years at Birmingham City. This is another fine addition who joins from Macclesfeild Town after previously spending time on trial with The New Saints where he was very unlucky not to secure 2 year professional contract with Scott Ruscoe’s unbeaten side.

A year after featuring in a behind closed doors game that saw Amin create a hat trick of goal assists during 38 minutes for another trialist at that time Jamie Reed striker at Cefn Druids Football Club. Around the same period he was also offered a deal by Steve O’Shaughnessy manager of Airbus after a behind closed doors game vs Bala Town in 2019.

#AA7 is a highly rated right winger who can also play in the central attacking midfield role and as a wide forward in a front three. In the last 3 months the Ethiopian Football Federation headquarters in Addis Ababa has invited him into the senior national team squad were he is is set to feature in a double header of African Cup of Nations 2021 qualifying matches vs Niger in November 2020 and the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifying campaign.

These signings strengthen an already talented Aberystwyth Town squad led by Gavin Allen a progressive UEFA PRO Licensed manager working at the top level in Wales. A full update will be available on the club website www.atfc.org.uk
